Big news from Iowa: Iowa's supreme court ruled discrimination against gays is unConstitutional. Once again Iowa quietly shows the nation the right thing to do. When will states like California, New York and New Jersey follow Iowa's lead?
Meanwhile, Obama has been quite a hit in Europe. I have heard journalists from all over the world expressing how impressed most of the world is with out new President. Not sure if this is filtering through our mediocre press, but if you pay attention to the international media it is clear the world is wowed by Obama.
And did you watch that really, really stupid circus of the Republican Congressional Reps releasing their "alternative budget?" Not only was it just the same old Herbert Hoover style failed policies that they have been pushing since the 1920's, but they actually lied about the Obama budget in the process. Those graphs they used to claim their budget was better than Obama's had nothing to do with Obama's budget but was really attacking Bush's last budget. More on that below. But isn't it amazing how devoid of any new ideas or any last shred of decency the Republicans are?
