Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

Progressive Democrat Issue 81: VIRGINIA FOCUS

I urge everyone to help inform the mainstream media and religious groups around the nation about the Delaware Pogrom and its resemblance to what is advocated by Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly. I even have written letters enquiring whether they can confirm that the pogrom happened, hinting that maybe they should have reported on it already. Here are some suggestions: (note: these are groups/papers I think SHOULD be informed/concerned about this, and are not necessarily anthing even remotely progressive or Democratic...so keep that in mind when you contact them)

    USA Today: (703) 854-3400; editor@usatoday.com

    Arlington Catholic Herald: (703) 841-2590; letters@catholicherald.com

Virginia Jewish News: Allie Vered, Editor: Phone: 804.740.2000 x1; editor@virginiajewishnews.com

I also urge trying to get Mark Warner to speak out against the Delaware Pogrom and the right wing hate mongers who inspire it. Suggested contact:

    eddie@draftmarkwarner.com

You probably have your own ideas. Get creative! This kind of trend affects us all.

Please help spread the word on this. It was only covered in a handful of Jewish and liberal blogs, including Daily Kos. It needs to be better known.
