BIODIESEL IN HUNTERDON COUNTY AREA:
Tired of your money going to Saudi Arabia, Iran or Venezuela every time you fill up your gastank? Well you can support a LOCAL business and LOCAL jobs by buying locally produced biodiesel for your diesel engine or for heating your home.
Biodiesel is now available in Hunterdon County:
Stem Brothers, Inc., a family owned & operated full-service home energy company since 1946, is proud to become the first heating oil company in Hunterdon & Warren County New Jersey and Bucks County Pennsylvania to provide their customers with environmentally friendly premium Biofuels.
Rick Stem, Stem Brothers spokesman, is excited about making the switch to Bioheating oil stating “Biofuels are much more than just good business-it’s a premium product we firmly believe in and use ourselves. Bioheat and Biodiesel both have increased lubricity and a cleaner burn. Characteristics that are advantageous in oil heat systems and diesel engines, in addition to benefiting the environment.” Stem went on to say, “Homegrown biofuels displace our dependency on foreign oil, supporting American energy independence. It makes a positive difference for our economy, our energy security and our children’s future. Biofuels are a positive way to do that. When we considered all the benefits it was easy to make this strategic business decision that is good for our customers and a significant step in environmental stewardship.
Stem Brothers, Inc. is supplied by Amerigreen, a ASTM certified mid-Atlantic leader in the wholesale marketing of Biofuels with blending terminals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. “The Stem’s commitment and transition to Biofuels should serve as encouragement to the entire community that everyone can do their part where possible to support American energy independence and cleaner air.” says Ron Flick, Amerigreen Brand Manager.
Stem Brothers now offers blends of B5 Diesel Fuel (5% biodiesel) and B2 Bioheat (2% bioheating oil) with plans to increase the blend percentages in the future.
Also new for the 2009-2010 heating season is the Stem Brothers, Inc. CAP Pricing Program. A buy in insurance program that caps the consumer’s maximum cash price at $2.399 per gallon. If the market price is less the customer pays the lower price, but if the market goes up, the customer pays only the cap price.
