Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

    UPCOMING EVENT:

David Cobb Speaking on Creating Democracy & Challenging Corporate Rule
Saturday, May 21 at 2:00 PM
    Boulder Unity Church
2855 Folsom St, Boulder, CO 80304
On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions.

Join David Cobb, a fiery speaker, to discuss “Creating Democracy & Challenging Corporate Rule.” This event is part history lesson and part heartfelt call-to-action! Cobb is an organizer and national spokesman for MoveToAmend.org, a coalition of more than 107,000 people and organizations whose goal is to amend the United States Constitution to end corporate rule and legalize democracy.
