Philadelphia, PA Focus
And for those who want to support the pro-Union protesters in Wisconsin who are fighting the anti-working class agenda of the pro-rich Teabagger Republicans, the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO has made this statement:
Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Rick Bloomingdale and Secretary-Treasurer Frank Snyder issued a call today for support among all Pennsylvania unions and working families for Wisconsin’s workers whom are under siege by Republican Governor Scott Walker and the other extremists in the Legislature.
“The entire labor movement in Pennsylvania stands united with the working men and women of the Wisconsin Labor Movement who are battling in the streets for their rights, their jobs, and their living standards. Your fight is our fight, Bloomingdale declared, against extremists who are attempting to scapegoat unions and working families for a budget crisis that was created by Wall Street not by Main Street. Declaring war on the middle class is a cowardly act that will not resolve the budget crisis or promote good jobs. This is a threat to every worker no matter where you live,” Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Rick Bloomingdale said. Read entire article
Let's be VERY clear here. Wisconsin (and now Ohio...you can BET Pennsylvania is on their list) is a Teabagger test case for their extremist agenda. We must hold the line for working class and middle class Americans against the right wing extremists, and right now Wisconsin is where that line must be held.
Please join People For the American Way in speaking out right now in support of the pro-Union Wisconsin protesters.
And to address ANOTHER right wing attack, with the Right Wing Teabagger attack on Women in full swing, I would like to draw your attention to PAForWomensHealth.org...they are fighting back against the Taliban Republican attack.

PHILADELPHIA NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORKS:
Neighborhood Networks traces its origins to the MoveOn presidential campaign of 2004. After the election a core group of MoveOn veterans around the city decided to keep the energy and connections alive by continuing to hold monthly potlucks over the winter. When they discovered that similar activity was happening outside their own wards, the groups planned to form a new organization. They joined together at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in June, 2005, and Neighborhood Networks was born. The idea was to create an ongoing organization to push for progressive candidates and policies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the national level...
