Come join the Dallas County Democratic Party (DCDP) for our annual Labor Day Picnic on Monday, September 6, 2010 from 12:00 to 4:00 at the Catholic Czech Club, 4930 Military Parkway, Dallas 75227. As usual the DCDP will provide the chicken and hot dogs and others attending are urged to bring their favorite side dish or dessert.

DALLAS ACTION ALERT: Volunteers needed for the Bill White campaign in Dallas.
Houston Mayor Bill White is running for Governor of Texas against incumbent Republican and avowed friend of BP Rick Perry. Despite Republican Perry's ability to raise huge donations from oil executives and the very rich (About 20 percent of Perry's money comes from ony 25 wealthy donors who gave at least $50,000 each), Bill White has raised more money than Perry, making this a competitive race.
Rick Perry is the oil company candidate while Bill White has been endorsed by the League of Conservation voters. Burnt Orange Report has also endorsed Bill White and had an excellent endorsement article back in February that is worth a read.

I hear the Bill White campaign is in particular need of volunteers in Dallas, so you, my readers in Dallas, are in demand. A campaign is only as good as its volunteers, so PLEASE take some time to help out Bill White and defeat BP's buddy, Rick Perry. Your efforts can make a big difference.

Biodiesel is an American produced fuel that is cleaner than traditional diesel. Up to B20 (a 20% blend of biodiesel and traditional diesel) any diesel engine, car or truck, can run on it.
