Apr 21-23 Wednesday-Friday, Orange: BEYOND COPENHAGEN An International Conference on Climate Change The Beyond Copenhagen Conference, an International Conference on Climate Change at Chapman University, will examine the accomplishments, challenges and opportunities posed at the COP15/United Nations Climate Change Conference, held in Copenhagen in December 2009. The conference will delve deeply into what remains to be done Beyond Copenhagen, and how sustainable global environmental mitigation can be achieved. chapman.edu/beyondcopenhagen
Orange County Biodiesel Cooperative: Working together to increase availability of biodiesel in the Orange County region. Biodiesel is better for the environment because it is made from renewable resources and has lower emissions compared to petroleum diesel. It is less toxic than table salt and biodegrades as fast as sugar. Since it is made in the USA from renewable resources such as soybeans, its use decreases our dependence on foreign oil and contributes to our own economy.
