Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

    Progressive Democrat Issue 239

Probably my last newsletter of the year. Kind of random assortment of articles this week. Hope everyone is having a good holiday and good new year. I know lots of people have been stranded by the snow. Had one friend trying to get back to the West Coast stranded in NYC stay with me while Joy, trying to get back to NYC from the West Coast, got stuck in the airport in Chicago. Hopefully everyone stranded will be home soon.

Right now people are debating the Healthcare Bill. Let me just suggest a few daily Kos articles to cover some of the debate:

Al Franken: A Historic Step Forward: Why I’m Supporting The Senate Health Reform Bill

Why This Senate Health Bill Should Not Pass

Public Option's Architect Jacob Hacker : Why I still believe in this Bill

Personally I think the bill is progress. Several steps removed from perfect, but still progress.

    Here is this week's newsletter:
