Progressive Democrat Issue 120: INDIANA FOCUS: Fighting Ann Coulter in Indiana
As I highlighted above, Ann Coulter hate speech continues, and so she is once again the target of a progressive boycott. Above I discuss contacting advertisers on her website. Here I want to urge you to contact newspapers that carry her column wherein she advocates terrorism against Americans. Interestingly, one of the first newspapers to drop her column due to her disgusting rhetoric was, long ago, the conservative National Review. They dropped her column after she responded to the 9/11 attacks by stating that America should "invade their [terrorists'] countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." Since then her hate speech has only gotten worse. She has compared Islam with the KKK and routinely advocates violence against liberals and insults homosexuals. She has the right to say what she wants. And newspapers have the right to carry it. But, we have the right to fight back as well.
Targeting her audience in Indiana is particularly important given the recent shifts in voting patterns in Indiana. It is very important to counter this kind of hate speech in a state that is shifting from red to light blue.
Here is a list of Indiana papers with contact info. PLEASE write them and urge them to follow the example of the National Review and drop Ann Coulter's column.
