Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

    Progressive Democrat Issue 72: THOUGHTS

Francine Busby won, but faces a runoff. Many had hoped she would push above the 50% mark and win outright. Would have been great, but it was highly unlikely. San Diego has open elections and this tends to mean that a Democrat wins the first round against a field of Republicans, but then loses the runoff. That is what happened for San Diego mayor. So, please help win the runoff and thus win the first Congressional race of the year:

    Contribute through Democracy for America.

And volunteer (you can even make phone calls if you live outside the district).

There is a great deal of other news…but I have been busy with work, childcare and a local Brooklyn political brouhaha so I haven’t been keeping as much as I should. And today’s weather is great, so I will spend less time on the newsletter and more enjoying the weather.
