Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

Progressive Democrat Issue 39: CONSUMER ACTIVISM: Alonovo.com

August 22, 9am PDT - the world shifts ever so slightly, new possibilities emerge and a dream becomes reality.

WHAT IF together we can begin a new era in America?

WHAT IF an easy to use website empowered you to:
    · Let your values inform your purchasing decisions
    · Help redirect the powerful $64 billion eCommerce economy to ethical businesses
    · Shift the global marketplace toward a sustainable, values-based economy

WHAT IF you could be an important member of a growing community that:
    · Is guided by leading member-based citizen organizations
    · Does not compete for donations among the community it serves
    · Generates funding for its founding and affiliated non-profit organizations
    · Protects the privacy of all users and does not sell lists or contact information

This is exactly what a very interesting, new project aims to accomplish. I have been in contact with these people and watching their progress for some time. This MONDAY their great efforts are coming to fruition. PLEASE check out their website starting on Monday, 9 AM West Coast time. This could be the future of the Progressive movement taking shape before our eyes. Check them out!
