Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

    Progressive Democrat Issue 33: THOUGHTS

This week I am unable to put as much into the newsletter as usual since I am in the process of creating this blog for it. Many readers have been encouraging me to do this. I have been reluctant because I like the low tech and more personal email newsletter format. There are so many blogs out there that I am unconvinced that we need another one! But, I fully intend to continue the regular newsletter and the blog version will be partly an archive and partly a way to essentially syndicate the newsletter so others can conveniently link to it and refer others to it. So far the Mid-Hudson Alliance website has been helping me do that, but I think I may be able to do more things if I have my own blog version. I will certainly continue to use the Mid-Hudson Alliance website as well as long as they are so kind as to host me.

So if this week’s thoughts and events sections are a bit thin, please understand that I am teaching myself a lot of basic HTML and playing around with a blog site. When the blog version is ready, I will still send out these emails to those who are formally subscribed, but it will also be available in yet another format!
