Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

BIODIESEL STATIONS IN THE WAUKESHA COUNTY AREA:

Biodiesel is less polluting and has a smaller carbon footprint than regular diesel, and is produced right here in the USA. Places like Wisconsin and Illinois with strong agriculture are particularly suited for biodiesel. Biodiesel can be used in almost any diesel engine. Up to B20 (a 20 percent blend) any diesel engine, whether car or 18 wheeler or whatever, can use it. Above B20 some older engines may have problems, but newer engines should actually thrive on biodiesel. Here are some local biodiesel stations:

Gurnee Fuel Stop 2301 N US Highway 41 Gurnee, IL 60031, 847-244-1655 Offers: B11 (safe in ANY diesel engine) CREDIT OK, OPEN 24 HRS

(As you can see the best local station is in Illinois...I think Wisconsin needs to step up to the plate more when it comes to biodiesel. They have the resources and the market, the connection just has to be made.

E.H. Wolf and Sons, Inc. 414 Kettle Moraine Drive S. Slinger, WI 53086, 262-644-5030 Offers: B2 (safe in ANY diesel engine) CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED, OPEN 24 HRS

Rote Oil N1887 County Road H Lake Geneva, WI 53147, 262-248-2733 Offers: B2 (safe in ANY diesel engine), OPEN: 5AM-3PM M-F; CASH ONLY
