Philly for Change is a group of reform-minded progressive Democrats. We fight for democracy, social and economic justice for all people, peace, the environment, and the green economy at the city, state, and federal levels.

Our regular monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. We hold our MeetUp at Tritone, a bar located at 1508 South Street. Tritone has a full dinner menu and is easy to access for people with disabilities with a ramp, instead of stairs, at the entrance.

Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) is the oldest liberal political organization in the country. It was founded in 1947 by Eleanor Roosevelt, John Kenneth Galbraith, former Senator and Vice President Hubert Humphrey, and the late Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.
From its national base in Washington, D.C., ADA lobbies and works for liberal ideals and liberal candidates, and such progressive issues as Universal healthcare, A Woman's right to Choose, Arms Control and Disarmament, Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, Sensible Gun Control, Public Education, an End to Hate Crimes and Discrimination, an end to the Iraq War, and Good Government.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of ADA, based in Philadelphia, works to unite for common counsel and action progressive forces in the Philadelphia metropolitan area who are concerned with the preservation and extension of democracy. We dedicate ourselves, as an organization of progressives, to the achievement of freedom and economic security for all peoples everywhere through education and advocacy. We strive to be a watchdog for Good Government and Sustainable Planning.

PHILADELPHIA NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORKS:
Neighborhood Networks traces its origins to the MoveOn presidential campaign of 2004. After the election a core group of MoveOn veterans around the city decided to keep the energy and connections alive by continuing to hold monthly potlucks over the winter. When they discovered that similar activity was happening outside their own wards, the groups planned to form a new organization. They joined together at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in June, 2005, and Neighborhood Networks was born. The idea was to create an ongoing organization to push for progressive candidates and policies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the national level...
