Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

ATLANTA, GA Federation of Reason Children’s Educational Program

The Fellowship of Reason ("FOR") is a reason-based ethical community; that is, a group of people united by the idea that reason provides the best guide for understanding reality and living the best life possible. FOR differs from faith-based organizations in that we believe each individual's purpose and success in life are derived from, and ultimately determined by, the individual - not a supernatural authority

The Federation of Reason Children's Educational Program runs the first Sunday of each month from Noon to 3pm on the 1st floor of the Chalice House, Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1025 Mt. Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA 30327. The FOR Children's Educational Program is open to kids, ages 3 to teen. (Older teens may also enjoy and are encouraged to attend the monthly FORum, held simultaneously on the 2nd floor.)

Kids are encouraged to arrive at Noon and meet their new FOR friends. The formal portion of the FOR Children's Educational Program, led by FOR parents, is held between 12:30 and 1pm. This allows visiting parents and FOR members to attend the FORum session, which begins at 1pm. After that time, our paid daycare provider leads the children in activities, games and free-play.

Visitors and potential members' children ARE WELCOME at the FOR Children's Educational Program!!! While non-member adults are welcome to attend an unlimited number of FORum sessions, due to resource limitations, children of non-members are limited to four monthly program sessions prior to their parents becoming members.
