Jersey City Focus: Dan Levin for Mayor

This comes from One Jersey City...it does not necessarily represent an endorsement by myself since I am not familiar with all the candidates in the race. But this guy sounds good on paper at least:

Have you heard about what's going on in Jersey City?

Jersey City has one the most corrupt local governments, with Pay-to-Play development schemes, cronyism, and backroom deals dominating the political landscape. Right here in New York City's backyard, we've got one of the worst systems of catastrophically corrupt local governments.

Dan Levin for Mayor is here to change it, and he needs your help to elect the "One Jersey City" slate of progressive reform candidates. Dan is running for Mayor because as a small business owner and neighborhood activist, he sees the need for citizens to take on the political corruption in Jersey City. But this progressive reformer needs your help.

Click Here to learn more about the progressive grassroots campaign "One Jersey City" and how we're fighting corruption.

Here are a few things that the One Jersey City slate of progressive reform candidates stand for:

*Fight against corrupt Pay-To-Play development practices
*Respect the cultural and economic diversity of its residents and foster the widest possible public participation in government
*Make quality public education a top priority
*Ensure openness and transparency to governmental plans, processes, and actions
*Honor and build upon the city's unique natural and human history and historic resources
*Excel as an employer and motivator of a civic-minded government workforce
*Embrace new and innovative service programs for its people
*Foster short- and long-term financial stability

As someone who lives in another place that "has one the most corrupt local governments, with Pay-to-Play development schemes, cronyism, and backroom deals dominating the political landscape," I sympathize with this campaign and urge you to look into Levin's candidacy and consider supporting him. I also urge any readers who support other candidates to give me their opinions.
