Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

PHONE BANKING IN ATLANTA: This is perhaps the most important thing you can do for your country at this moment in time. f you live in Metro Atlanta and have a couple of hours to spare this week, drop by the Democratic Party of Georgia office for a little phone banking. You don't have to fit the "theme" to drop in. All volunteers are welcome. More info here.

Georgia and Texas Now Possible Senate Pickups I had been ignoring the Georgia Senate race...I think it is time to start taking notice. Daily Kos has a rundown on this race and on Democrat Jim Martin.

Early Voting in Georgia: looks like the early voting numbers greatly favor Obama and Jim Martin.

John McCain: "The fundamentals of our economy are strong" [Dow drops 500 points]. How many Americans believe that the fundamentals of the economy are strong? How many care what the fundamentals are like if they can't pay for food, healthcare, day care, gas and heat?

    Meanwhile, Job losses mount

Which is why It's All About the Economy, Period.

Racist Rant by McCain Campaign Chair in Virginia. What is particularly stupid was the guy put it in writing!

Sarah Palin on Thin Ice: a round up of Sarah Palin stories from Georgia Women Vote.

John McCain Asked if Bin Laden is "really the bad guy that's depicted?"

Gen. Wes Clark endorses Doug Heckman Congressional Candidate GA-7

Republicans: The real elitists. McCain in particular: And, How Many Cars Do YOU Have?. And this is on top of at LEAST 10 houses that McCain owns.
