Mole's Progressive Democrat

The Progressive Democrat Newsletter grew out of the frustration of the 2004 election. Originally intended for New York City progressives, its readership is now national. For anyone who wants to be alerted by email whenever this newsletter is updated (usually weekly), please send your email address and let me know what state you live in (so I can keep track of my readership).

MISSISSIPPI FOCUS: Blogs, Ronnie Musgrove, Obama, NAACP, Drinking Liberally

I have found my Georgia, Florida and Virginia pages are fairly popular. So I am adding a Mississippi page, partly because it is a Senate swing state, partly because Mississippi was a big pick up in a recent special election, partly because I have a good friend from there, and partly because I know how hard they got hit by Katrina. I have never thought the Democrats should abandon the South. There have been too many damned good Democrats from the South to do that, from Christine Jennings to Ann Richardson, to Al Gore, to Jimmy Carter.
