    GEORGIA FOCUS: Obama, Veterans For Peace, NAACP, Groups and Events

    With Bob Barr in the race for President as a Libertarian, Georgia could actually be in play for Obama. As part of the Dean/Obama 50 state strategy, I urge a strong effort in Georgia this year. With that in mind I give you the Georgia for Obama Group. Join and participate! Register voters, give your time, make the effort.

    The Mohansic Park Lane Block Pary Committee will have it's 5th annual Block Party. We are having a pre-block pary fundraiser selling/serving food and providing various small business vendors to sell their products and services.

    We are planning to do a Voter's Registration and will provide Barack Obama T-shirts, Buttons, Bumper stickers, Hats, etc.

    Henry County Democratic Meeting

    From 7:00-7:30 we will be showing a short dvd from the DNC on our voter outreach plan. Please stay afterwards for our monthly Henry County Democratic Party meeting from 7:30 to 8:30. Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors. It will be at the Government Annex Community Room. The address is 116 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253. It is off of Exit 216 on I-75. If you are going South on 75 take a left. Cross over the railroad tracks and about 2 miles down you will see the Post Office on the right hand side. The Annex is a big brick building just past the Post Office on the right. The building will say Henry County Public Safety.

    Obama Volunteers Needed for Dekalb Co.!!!!!!

It's so important that we get as many people involved with the grassroot efforts for the general election. We need people helping with voter registration drives, phone banking, places to hold events, finding more volunteers, etc. There's is over 500,000 unregistered voters here in Ga alone.     A Gathering of Women

    Join a women for Obama as we get on a bus to Fort lauderdale, FL June 25 from Atlanta, GA for three nights to meet, share, and talk with other women from several states about how we can get the vote out and put him in office. We as women have to also make friends with Clinton supporters and share with them. We will also go to the beach and shopping.     NE Atlanta Voter Registration

    Come by our staging location to help register voters in NE Atlanta. We will be hitting several locations and festivals this weekend and can use some volunteers. Can't make it until the afternoon? No problem, come only for an hour or two! If you want to start earlier, we'll need some volunteers starting at 9. In your response, let me know you can be at a location by 9! You'll want to wear comfortable shoes and with recent temps, water and sunscreen would probably be a good idea. Never done voter registration? Not a problem! We'll give you a short training and help you on your way!

    The Cobb County NAACP monthly meetings are the first Monday of the month at the branch office at 6:30 p.m.
