OREGON FOCUS: Groups and Events
Oregon will be a major battleground this year. Not only is is a swing state for the Presidential race, but it also will be critical in our fight to regain the Senate. You can help win both the Presidency and the Senate by donating through my Oregon Act Blue Site.
Even more importantly, you can become a Neighborhood Leader for the Oregon Democratic Party and be a major part of Victory 2008.
Here are progressive events and groups in Oregon: (events first, groups at the end)
Voter Registration Canvass
Start: Apr 26 and 27, 2-5 pm
The tight race between the two remaining Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, means that Oregon's May 20th primary could be very decisive. Since only registered Democrats can vote in the contest, many voters are looking to change their registration. Wherever you are in the state, you can help the Democratic Party of Oregon re-register voters for the primary. Write to field@dpo.org for more information and to sign-up!
